Who is Evan Peterson?
I am a sophomore at Purdue University pursuing a Bachelors Degree in User Experience(UX) Design.
I aspire to better existing technology and make it more accessible to a larger variety of people, such as the older generations or those less experienced with technology, as well as create original designs for new and emerging technology. I am experienced in design tools such as Figma, Canva, Photoshop, and Gimp as well as in 3D CAD programs such as Blender, Tinkercad, and Fusion 360. I have experience with HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and Javascript. I favor hands on work including prototyping and conducting user interviews. I plan on using these skills to make technology a better and easier experience for all users so that it can become more accessible in the future. (Image courtesy of Nancy Rasche)
I also have a passion for 3D printing and am a member, supervisor, and lab assistant of the 3D Printing Club at Purdue University.
My dream job is to do UX design for a 3D printer company in order to better the experience for current and new users.
I enjoy printing and finishing helmets and other props from movies, I have printed and finished existing as well as my own original models, and have even printed props for theatrical productions. I sell my original 3D models through Cults3D and advertise on YouTube and Instagram under the name E.Spi.Builds. I am also gaining a Certificate in Acting through Purdue's Theatre program.
